Scandinavium, located in the heart of Gothenburg is one of Sweden’s most classic indoor arenas, also called the Colosseum of Gothenburg. Surrounded by hotels, shops and restaurants, all within walking distance. It accommodates sporting events, concerts, shows, exhibitions, trade fairs and corporate events.
The arena was built in 1971 and has been upgraded several times over the years. Audience capacity at sporting events is 12,000 and at music events 14,000.
The arena has been selected as a championship venue approx. sixty times, hosting World Championships, European Championships, World Cup Finals and Davis Cup Finals. Scandinavium is the home of the annual Gothenburg Horse Show, first held in the Spring of 1977 and considered one of the premier indoor competitions in the world.
