A multifunctional entertainment and sport venue, is the biggest in Poland and one of the most modern facility of that type in the world. It is located only 4 km from Krakow’s Main Market Square and superbly connected with the rest of the city. TAURON Arena Krakow consists of two halls – the main one (the Main Hall) and a small one (Training Hall). Three levels of grandstands, seating or standing places for the audience on the court together with the possibility to freely configure the auditorium are the features TAURON Arena Krakow provides that will meet the organisational requirements of an event of any type and scale. The attention is also attracted by a 500 meters long, unprecedented LED screen installed on the venue elevation surrounding the external construction of the Main Hall, which makes it the largest LED screen in Europe.
TAURON Arena Krakow offers 15 000 seats in the grandstands and nearly 9 000 standing places on its court in front of the stage, making its total capacity of more than 20 000. Various needs of customers have been taken into consideration: conference rooms, restaurants, bars and more than 1 300 parking spaces constitute backstage facilities of any prestigious artistic and business event.
Although TAURON Arena Krakow is a freshman on the venues market, since its opening in May 2014 it hosted more than 100 events, including concerts of Robbie Williams, Black Sabbath, Foo Fighters, Justin Bieber and the biggest sports events like 2015 IIHF World Championship Division I, FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Poland 2014, European Handball Championship Poland 2015 only to name a few, and was visited by more than 1 700 000 spectators.
The Training Hall of TAURON Arena Krakow, which offers an audience grandstand for over 300 people, can be used as a training or a rehearsal area during major events held in the Main Hall. It is also perfect for the organisation of smaller-scale events such as local teams sport competitions or any type of private gatherings. It is also a great place for an ice rink, gym or full-size handball field.
