Malmo Arena, Malmo Is one of the newest and one of the most modern arenas in northern Europe's and the leading music venue in the attractive resund Region. After the opening in November 2008, almost 1 million visitors have enjoyed big sport- and music events, conferences of all sizes and the popular restaurants.
With a catchment area of 3,6 million inhabitants and over 10 million people living within of 300 km radius, we live and work in one of Europeös most dynamic regions. Geography and infrastructure place the arena within quick and easy reach of popular centres in both countries. After the opening of Malmö Citytunnel in December 2010, the train takes you from Copenhagen Airport almost door to door in 12 minutes and from Malmö Central station in 7 minutes.
Depending on stage positioning, audience capacity ranges from 3000 to 15500 people. The roof has a bearing capacity of 150 tonnes in dispersed weight, and the stage can be positioned in whatever way best suits the stage presentation.
Malmö Arena is proud to be the home of south Sweden's leading ice hockey team, the Malmö Redhawks. Handball is another sport that Malmö Arena regularly plays host to, for example the men's handball World Championship in January 2011.
Malmö Arena's own kitchen has the capacity to cater for up to 3200 dinner guests. The foyer area, large private boxes and the arena area itself offer a total of 7000 m² of floor space ideal for smaller exhibitions and product displays.
When the 200 hectare Hyllie development is completed in a couple of years, the area will be home to some 30000 residents and 7000 workplaces, Malmö Arena, Hyllie train station, Emporia shopping centre and the new exhibition center trade fair. Have a look at www.hyllie.com.
